Gaku.R is a producer and DJ, and a member of the electronic duos Nighticket and Yepwatt.
Following earlier work in melodic techno and progressive house, Gaku.R is currently developing a deeper, low-frequency-driven hypnotic techno language, focused on spatial perception and the physical experience of sound.
His path moves from Beijing’s late-1990s punk scene through Tokyo’s underground live-house and electronic communities to recent performances across Europe, the United States and Japan, including The Great Escape in 2025.
